Windyhall Care Home is located in Ayr, a beautiful town on the west coast of Scotland, which offers our residents a relaxed and peaceful lifestyle.

The home forms part of the Ayr community. The surroundings are perfect for residents wishing to maintain a more independent lifestyle, with a convenient location and great transport links, and where families can visit with ease.

Our lounges, café area and dining area are tastefully decorated and bright and provide an excellent location for meeting friends and having some tea and cake!

We have 25 single bedrooms and 4 shared bedrooms so we can offer accommodation to suit every need. Our personal touches even extend to your laundry, which we wash in individual loads and return ironed for you.

Windyhall Care Home offers excellent standards of nursing care and a secure, enhanced lifestyle.

Our Approach

Prior to your arrival, our Home Manager will be delighted to have a full consultation with you to discuss your needs and requirements and tell you everything you need to know about Windyhall Care Home.

We endeavour to promote and maintain independence and choice for all residents, enabling every person to live a dignified and fulfilled life. With every resident having differing needs, interests and preferences, the care and service we provide will reflect this individuality. We have a full time Wellbeing Co-ordinator who ensures that we offer a wide variety of personalised activities and opportunities.

Our Facilities

We have a number of outstanding facilities available to residents and families at Windyhall Care Home:

We offer a wide range of therapies including Namaste, personalised physiotherapy and physical activities. We also have our own Hairdresser who visits 3 times per week to pamper our residents.

Our Team

All our staff are trained and certified, working within the care industry guidelines. The home has a staff training programme plan to ensure all staff are trained and kept up to date with all new methods and guidance.

We have an activity coordinator who is very creative in delivering activities, including daily exercise classes, musical entertainment, outings, mini zoo visits, dog visits, and monthly afternoon tea with the manager. Residents can take part in as much or as little as they like.
